Description: The highly valuable TAXREF checklist dataset has some issues which hopefully can be fixed at the source:

1) Some bad scientific names:
 - http://www.gbif.org/species/117029380 #NOM?
 - http://www.gbif.org/species/101125659/verbatim "Mycena pseudocrispula """"f. bisporique""""" when it should be Mycena pseudocrispula "f. bisporique", see https://inpn.mnhn.fr/espece/cd_nom/461890/tab/taxo
 - Fries and Pers. fungi names have strange colons in authorship. Thats also in the source but not correct: (Fr. : Fr.) Fr. : https://inpn.mnhn.fr/espece/cd_nom/35736/tab/taxo or http://www.gbif.org/species/101132078/verbatim see http://www.mycobank.org/BioloMICS.aspx?Table=Mycobank&Rec=160202&Fields=All

2) Synonym ranks should not automatically use the accepted rank. E.g. there are species being a synonym of subspecies http://www.gbif.org/species/100592866/verbatim
Better to leave the rank empty if it is not known than to use the accepted rank

3) Synonyms link to a webpage for the accepted name. That is ok, but we can improve things by linking to the taxonomy tab in the TAXREF portal which actually shows the synonyms. For example https://inpn.mnhn.fr/espece/cd_nom/461890/tab/taxo

4) Kingdom records link to a non existing parentID: http://www.gbif.org/species/101035222/verbatim either include the record or set those values to empty

5) There is a lot of valuable additional species information in TAXREF. It would be great to get some of that also published:
 - species images: https://inpn.mnhn.fr/espece/cd_nom/84790
 - species distributions in france departments: https://inpn.mnhn.fr/espece/cd_nom/60577
 - individual archaeological sites as occurrences? https://inpn.mnhn.fr/espece/cd_nom/60577/tab/archeo/dept/66

There are many names with "null" as rank. This looks like an indexing code bug we need to fix:

There are also quite a few infraspecific names with null epithets in TAXREF:

For example Poa pratensis null proles (L.) Rouy, 1913

Comment: Author of the genus Muscari should be Muscari Mill. not Hill
