Description: The species {{Hyacinthoides hispanica}} appears twice in the GBIF backbone taxonomy:

* http://www.gbif.org/species/5304257: from COL, with author, synonyms and 1,979 occurrences. *Looks like the one to keep*
* http://www.gbif.org/species/6101907: from Harmonia, without author or synonyms and 779 occurrences. *Looks like the one to remove*

The two sets of occurrences don't overlap, so if you search for "Hyacinthoides hispanica", you have to select one of the two: http://www.gbif.org/occurrence/search?TAXON_KEY=Hyacinthoides+hispanica

---

But the real problem (for me) is the taxon match service, which does not provide a match because of the two competing names:

The genus is apparently treated as a homonym in different families in the current, old nub. That leads to duplication of that species.

It is gone in the new nub preview: http://mdoering.github.io/nub-browser/app/#/taxon/5304257

Also the nub matching prefers accepted taxa over doubtful or synonyms in case they have the same canonical name.
In the new nub any species homonym within a kingdom can only have one accepted name. All other must be either synonyms or are being flagged as doubtful
