Description: Backbone checklist distributions come from various sources and with no guarantee for completeness (just as occurrence point data). We should add a short paragraph explaining that the distribution given comes from other checklists and not from occurrences and might not be complete.

Currently the checklist source is not given properly and one can just see "ChecklistBank xyz" with a link to the source record. There is an open issue POR-2700 to properly cite the dataset. With the new backbone building algorithm this will be solved]]>

Comment: the API nicely lists the sources so they can be linked to. it has been decided not to show distributions for now as it leads to confusion. additional parsing is also an option. distributions was shown with source, but removed again
