Description: Genera of synonyms appear in the indexed VASCAN checklist as root taxa, created implicitly because of the denormalized classification.

This should be avoided when during normalization.
The dwc:genus field strictly should be only for the accepted taxon, but many publishers use it for the atomized name, regardless if the name is a synonym or accepted. See discussion on tdwg and https://github.com/tdwg/dwc/issues/29
