Description: Although rare, Scapania nimbosa is found several places around the world, such as The British Isles, the E Himalaya and W China. http://193.62.154.38/bbs/Activities/field%20bryology/FB104/FB104%20Hodd.pdf

There is occurrence data of Both S. nimobosa and S. ornithopodioides on NBN Gateway https://data.nbn.org.uk/Taxa, on UBC Herbarium http://bridge.botany.ubc.ca/herbarium/search.php?db=bryophytes.fmp12&layout=bryophytes_web_results and in the Norwegian databases Artskart http://artskart.artsdatabanken.no/FaneArtSok.aspx.

But I guess I have to wait until the species are accepted in the Catalogue of life then. Thank you so much for the help!

if you search across all checklists in GBIF you will find that name only in NCBI and EOL, both lists that we do not use when building our backbone taxonomy as they are rather dirty.

As there is no other source it is expected that this species does not show up I am afraid. The latest Catalog of life version also does not include that species:

It appears to be a very rare species that was thought to be extinct, maybe that explains why its not in CoL:
