But the corresponding record at GBIF has character encoding problems: It looks like UTF-8 output was interpreted as ISO 8859-1. (lots of A-tildes)

Maybe it's the museum's exporter, rather than something on your side? Only noticed this because I thought I had a character encoding bug on my side, and after an hour realized I was on the wrong track.]]>
