Description: The checklist "Targeting a portion of central European spider diversity for permanent preservation indexed for the first time on dev here contains bad mappings:
http://www.gbif.org/dataset/caaa6bf4-c6a1-4960-8b40-c817be0caaf0

Looking at a single verbatim record (Agalenatea redii) one can see:
http://www.gbif.org/species/140742304/verbatim

1) DC:REFERENCES http://dx.doi.org/10.3897/BDJ.1.e980
points to a DOI for the entire dataset when it should point to details about that very species. The DOI belongs into the EML of the dataset

Similarily the AudubonCore term http://rs.tdwg.org/ac/terms/furtherInformationURL has also been used to carry the dataset DOI.

2) DWC:NAMEPUBLISHEDIN Čandek K, Gregorič M, Kostanjšek R, Frick H, Kropf C, Kuntner M (2013) Targeting a portion of central European spider diversity for permanent preservation. Biodiversity Data Journal 1: e980. doi: 10.3897/BDJ.1.e980

dwc:namePublishedIn is reserved for the first publication of the name (spec. nov.), so it is purely nomenclatoral information. Again a reference to the dataset has been used here instead which is very wrong (unless the species indeed was newly described in that article which sometimes could be the case, but isnt here). If anything at all one could use dwc:nameAccordingTo in order to express the taxonomic concept in the sense of this publication. But it might be best to simply leave dataset information to the dataset metadata (EML)

In general it would be nice if there would be a bit richer information, e.g. some higher classification (the dataset is about spiders only) or a taxon rank. If thats too hard for publishers to enter into the data itself we could consider the EML taxonomic coverage or some other means to "tag" datasets with a common higher classification]]>
