Description: There are 9 items for the genus Carabus that must be faults because Carabus is only spread over the northern hemisphere. All are from the same place: the island of Europe between Africa and Madagascar. A joke?
My search was Carabus and limited geographically by -23,40 to -22,42
Best regards,
D.M.

Comment: As the issue states, the coordinates coincide with an island in the southern hemisphere. Flipping the latitude into a positive value does not fix this issue (the records are then positioned in Saudi Arabia) If the genus is Northern-hemispheric, could this be an error introduced e.g. with reverse-georeferencing, assigning a coordinate value to a locality description of "Europa"? Suggest to hand this issue on to the publisher of the records for verification.
