Description: The VegetWeb dataset seems to have moved:
http://www.gbif.org/dataset/ad0d1a24-e952-11e2-961f-00145eb45e9a

The BioCASE endpoint is badly configured and does not return any records.
Version 2 of vegetweb has been released lately with a different host:
http://www.vegetweb.de/#!contact

We should get in touch with them to check the latest state. Maybe an IPT is even possible as its far simpler to run instead of BioCASE?
The data lends itself also to a sample based core as these are all vegetation plot samples.

In addition the dataset title "VegetWeb - Repositorium von Vegetationsaufnahmen a" appears to be truncated.

Currently there is no georeferenced data in this dataset. At best each record only specifies a name, date, and country. E.g. http://www.gbif.org/occurrence/362517178/verbatim

I agree the data would be best published as a sampling event dataset. Otherwise I think we should evaluate how much value this dataset actually adds and potentially unindex it. It also hasn't been updated in years.

For guidance on how to convert the dataset into sampling event format, they could refer to the Dutch Vegetation Database (LVD): http://www.gbif.org/dataset/740df67d-5663-41a2-9d12-33ec33876c47

More information about the sampling event format developed for vegetation plot data can be found in this blog post: http://gbif.blogspot.dk/2016/07/probably-turbovegs-best-kept-secret.html

The dataset contact is Florian Jansen. I met him at a conference in March and sent him an email to try and follow up (cc'd Helpdesk).
