Description: Quite often publishers of occurrences use brand new scientific names that got described just a year or 2 ago and which are not included in our nub. But even if they have the fully correct names with a citation it wont make it into the nub and therefore those occurrences wont be searchable under the correct binomial name. They will likely be linked to the genus name if that existed already, but not to the binomial.

It would be great if we had a way for occurrence publishers to add new names to the nub somehow. We could for example maintain a list of additional names that are included in the nub. All names on that list would have to have a citation of where they were published so its easy and quick to review them manually.]]>

Comment: The standard way would be to mobilise a checklist containing such names, and include it into the ECAT catalog
