The two records shown for Siphonandra, in the Rubiaceae, are more likely to be records of Siphonandra in the Ericaceae. The Rubiaceae taxon has only one species from Mexico (S. mexicana) while the Ericaceae name corresponds to plants endemic to Peru and Bolivia, as shown in your distribution maps for Siphonandra, in the Rubiaceae. Moreover, these data seem to come from MO but they have no specimens for the Rubiaceae genus.
I am a specialist of Ericaceae and the localities shown are classic Ericaceae localities"

To do:
- check the original data source (MOBOT) for taxonomic information contained on http://data.gbif.org/occurrences/322334410/ and http://data.gbif.org/occurrences/322334181/. If the family is Rubiaceae, suggest to review - should most likely be Ericaceae. If the family is missing, suggest to add.
- check what else could be done in taxon processing (rollover) to resolve the homonym issue (-> Markus?)]]>
