[Discussion] Request is slightly different given that it’s coming directly from non-participants. Request is non-specific just yet, but how do we allocate staff time or funding for unendorsed non-participant events? Inclination is to help with things that don’t cost money. Best scenario would be to receive endorsement from regional node rep and managers (in this instance) that it fulfils regional goals. If financial support is part of the request, such an event would need to compete for capacity enhancement funding.
[AGT] He will come back to the organizations requesting help and to the corresponding Node managers, to communicate the options available.

Answer sent to the organizer confirming our interest to support the initiative and to the Node managers in the region asking about their plans on this area.
The organizers of the event want to have a teleconference to discuss the details. Someone from the GBIFS needs to participate.
