Description: lots of exceptions when converting to proper URLs. Might be invisible characters, but there are also things like "website not established in some nodes.

ETI / NL also had a broken url and this one too:

Comment: Before I hand this on: how does the portal handle invalid URLs? Should invalid ones not be suppressed "gracefully"? Even if we manage to clean the IMS out now, this could come up again any time, either through editors unaware of conventions, copy-paste effects, or URLs becoming invalid at source. I understand from the linked issue that those broken URLs should now be suppressed, but would it be possible to use the messaging inside the portal to raise an issue on concrete cases, so that we know where exactly to go looking?
