Description: Dear GBIF,

Congratulations!!
The new website looks excellent, with many great features. I hope this will give yet another boost to the Biodiversity Informatics world. This is exactly what we needed.

However, I would like to give one suggestion. Wouldn't it be better to zoom out a little, when showing the map on the homescreen, so it would represent the 'Global' aspect? As I see now, it's a bit random, focusing mostly on Africa & Europe, which might give a bit the wrong impression? See attachment for what I would suggest to do.
