Description: Running an occurrence search for scientific name "Artemisia (string, not waiting for the autocomplete to offer a selection before hitting Return) results in a stacktrace: http://www.gbif.org/occurrence/search?TAXON_KEY=artemisia

To reproduce:
- go to Explore Occurrences
- Add a filter: Scientific name
- type name "Artemisia", hit the return key (typical for routined typers)
- "FILTERS" shows "Artemisia" -> click on "Apply"
- results in http status 500:
