Summary: Map records vary with zoom level
Description: In species 2420234 (and several others!) pixels disappear from the map with varying zoom levels - and reappear at higher resolution. I've worked a lot with GBIF during the last months, but this - very unpleasant - phenomenon is new to me.

Indeed.
This happens when messages are lost in the updates and we loose consistency.  It can be a short term transient thing (flushes) or can be long term.

In this case it is long term.  We need to backfill cubes and maps.

Comment: This happens when messages go missing, or services are killed.  Not a known problem any more.
