Description: While working on our GBIF dataset metrics extension, I discovered {{eventDate}} is often not interpreted (even though the data seems fine) and set to blank with no issues thrown. That makes it very hard to discover misinterpreted dates.

I documented this issue at https://github.com/Datafable/gbif-dataset-metrics/issues/27 on January 16, but haven't tested it since. The issue provides examples.]]>
