I try to create an account in GBIF, but failed several times, I don't know why.
I got the message that the CAPCHYA was wrong, but I can't find the place to enter it.

Comment: yes this definitely is. I am contacting him to create an account manually. Later we need to find a way around it.

Why do we even have the captcha?  There's nothing you can do with multiple accounts that you can't do with one, and no way to create content useful for spammers.

Could we replace it with a numeracy one ("What is 3 + 9?"), a picture one ("Select the lion"), or simply remove it?

Comment: It was introduced to prevent spammers from further polluting our user db. I think we can find an alternative that doesn't rely on external services.
