The problem as far as I understand it, is that the limit parameter is not being honored when the limit is greater than the maximum default [20]). Fede has fixed the problem here: https://code.google.com/p/gbif-common-resources/source/detail?r=1546
[~omeyn@gbif.org] will update the occurrence mother pom to use the latest version of the occurrence search web service.

Kyle, yes, indeed, I've fixed that, the issue was initially reported by someone else who was trying to use the api, that was reported by email to Jan:
