Comment: is it useful to have an autocomplete here? If so we should abbreviate the title, but my gut feeling its not needed

Comment: All autocompletes and in general all the <ul> elements, have terrible look due to recent change in the style files

Comment: [~fmendez@gbif.org] If I select an entry from the autocomplete, is there any need to show the search page at all? I would expect to be taken to the dataset detail page instead. What scenario tries the autocomplete to solve?

Comment: was fixed already. But maybe we should turn off autocomplete here?

Comment: When an autocomplete entry is selected the page redirects to its details with this change: http://code.google.com/p/gbif-portal/source/detail?r=1304

It's better but still looks ugly for me. The dropdown is not anchored on the search box but on the green bar.

Not fixed for me.

Autocomplete box now behind the result list.

Also no indication of the selected item in the list when using keyboard.

I type a letter and then use up and down arrow keys to select something from the list. I'd expect it to be highlighted. It's not.
