Description: Dear GBIF Database,

I recognised, that Plioreocepta poelicoptera is commonly reffered to as Platyparea poeciloptera. However, there is no refrence of the latter being a synonym of Plioreocepta poeciloptera. Something might be wrong here. I found a reference, that Löw 1862 described this species as Platyparea poeciloptera.

The Plioreocepta genus dates from 1987, see "Korneyev VA (1987) The asparagus fly and its position in the system of the Tephritidae (Diptera). Vestnik Zoologii 1987(1): 39–44." available at http://bionames.org/references/faf0240e6014fdaa6796bb52be75af8f

I can't read Russian, but looking at that paper it looks like Plioreocepta is a replacement name for Poeciloptera, and Korneyev treats Platyparea as a synonym. So the two names Plioreocepta poelicoptera and Platyparea poeciloptera are synonyms.
