Description: Please see:
  http://uat.gbif.org/species/102966318/distributions

Which provides a list of incomprehensible information to most users:

  tdwg:alb oo Present , Native
  tdwg:aut au Present , Native
  tdwg:aut li Present , Native
  tdwg:bgm Present , Native
  tdwg:blt ka Doubtful , Native

The verbatim content can of course be shown to users in certain screens, but this is presented as if it should be meaningful. Suggest this should either be on a verbatim page view (like the occurrence verbatim page stuff) or interpreted so that it shows meaningful information

maybe we can add a simple warning note to the distribution block until we can do proper interpretations?
Something like "Please see http://rs.gbif.org/areas/ for area naming schemes, interpretation by GBIF is work in progress"

https://code.google.com/p/gbif-portal/source/detail?r=1831 adds a warning notice with a link to our recommendations: http://rs.gbif.org/areas/
See attached screenshot. I suggest to close the issue for now and create a new one for properly interpreting areas and link them to polygons so they can be shown on a map-
