Reporter: kbraak
Assignee: mdoering
Type: Bug
Summary: Extended taxonomy page: Improper use of back link - can be confused with breadcrumb
Priority: Minor
Resolution: Fixed
Status: Closed
Created: 2012-12-07 11:20:10.358
Updated: 2013-08-29 14:44:47.415
Resolved: 2012-12-07 19:13:58.555

Description: To recreate issue:

1. Visit occurrence page: http://staging.gbif.org:8080/portal-web-dynamic/occurrence/32838760

2. Click on extended taxonomy: http://staging.gbif.org:8080/portal-web-dynamic/species/3113953/classification

On the extended taxonomy page, there is a link that says "Back to species overview". This can easily be misinterpreted as a breadcrumb, which should take the user back to the occurrence page, not the species page the user has never seen before. ]]>

Comment: good catch. There shouldnt be any extended taxonomy link from the occurrences, there will never be non linnean ranks in the nub.
