Description: Member pages primarily serve the function of attributing the contribution of network members on different levels (Networks, Participant Nodes, Organisations) and documenting the structure of the network. In this sense, they are not so much the search entrance for occurrence or taxon data, but to give an easy overview of the network and its holdings.
The Dataset tab at http://portal-static.gbif.org/members/detail.html therefore has a different function from a dataset search result, and should rather give a single-page, simple list overview of dataset names filtered for the active network member, similar to the list/table at the bottom of http://data.gbif.org/datasets/provider/145. Each name would link to the metadata page of the individual dataset, while the whole list can be copied or downloaded easily for further consumption. For the network levels "Participant Node" and "Network", it should contain publisher names as well as dataset names, and possibly record counts (also see http://data.gbif.org/datasets/network/21). The list should be alphabetically sorted, but broken down into sections for "hosted" and "owned" where appropriate. Networks neither host nor own data, but have a list of datasets that are "part of" the network or similar.]]>
