Comment: Sorry Rod but this is not a bug, it's a feature. In order to prevent all sort of abuses (SPAM and like) the registration process is a two staged one. And I'm fairly sure it's a common approach those days... namely asking a user to visit a given URL (confirmed via email) in order to set a password and some other fields as an account creation/registration. It just makes sure that you're a human, not an automated script.
