Description: Not all image metadata for a checklist usage fits into the image sidebar:
http://portal-static.gbif.org/species/name_usage.html

In the original visuality design we had:

TITLE
Puma Concolor in his natural habitat

IMAGE PUBLISHER
Wildscreen

DATASET
Arkive

PHOTOGRAPHER
Kevin Huizenga

COPYRIGHT
All rights reserved

questions:

1) The dataset only makes sense for nub pages when we want to show the checklist source the image came from, right? Should that be a link to the respective dataset details page?

2) We also have a description field which is not shown here

3) We also have a date created field. Propose to put that next to the Photographer?

4) should license also be a non existing block in case we don't have one given explicitly? I think it'll be better to explicitly say its unknown.

5) In a nub page with all image metadata existing we are exceeding the layout. Vizzuality problem or do we need to prioritize?

Publisher is not being indexed in clb right now, but for the rest we have an example here:

original checklist usage (therefore without dataset):

and the nub one (should show dataset, but currently does not seem to do so):

1) dataset: should point to the dataset details page for datasets registered with GBIF. For external sources, we may still have a publisher (project, institution) and a dataset (link to the website of digitised pictures)
2) description: a bit tricky, as this could be a longer text. Keeping it on the right hand side, we can only show the start of the text and the "more" link to expand the full text.
3) Agree to add the date created next to the photographer name
4) Agree to add a default of "unknown" for the license
5) We need to prioritize in all areas, but like in other places, need to make sure that the full data is accessible somewhere. Source attribution needs to be resolved for the Nub pages in general, as we have no "raw" view of it

Comment: What are external sources? Do we have any non registered datasets?

Potential inclusion of Wikipedia-style resources in future

Addition to my comment on 1): Images can come from checklist resources, but also from occurrences (images of type specimens, etc.). Link to the dataset detail still applies

resolution on 1):
 a) nub page: "Dataset" link names the source dataset, but links to the usage record (checklist resource) or the occurence record (occurrence resource) that is the source of the image
 b) usage page: suggestion to maintain "Dataset", but refer to page header to link to dataset metadata (does not apply to occurrence records)
2-5 as above
6) the title can exceed the available space, too. Provide popup

Comment: the dataset link should point to the individual checklist usage or occurrence detail record if available, not to the dataset, no?

Even Wikipedia would be a registered dataset I think. Its already there to be true:
