The text labelling in classic mode is awful. As ou zoom in dark text with light border appears. This is visually too heavy (do we even need labels?). If you are going to use label in this view, please just use light (off white) text.

Cartography is the core of GBIF, it should be the thing most care is taken with.

Comment: There are still some styling improvements that can be made, but maps are significantly changed, so closing these issues, to let people reopen specific issues again.  Classic coloring is in.
