Issue solved on my part

CAS filters have been commented out on the PortalListener days ago (http://code.google.com/p/gbif-portal/source/detail?r=1144) due to vizzuality development, so login in does not work as expected.

This does not work for me on staging. It's missing a proper link: http://staging.gbif.org:8080/portal-web-dynamic/user/downloads

It works for the link in the upper right corner but not for the link in the box in the middle of the screen.

Comment: Oversaw your last comment. When registering a new account there is no redirect planned to happen I am afraid. That would be a serious change in Drupal I guess. We would need to remember the original page across several pages within drupal. Not worth the try I think, do you?

Comment: While I agree that this might be a different issue I think that would be a big help anyway and definitely what I'd expect as a new user. I'll create a separate issue.
