Description: on the test page http://uat.gbif.org/species/2432084 the image is given as source undefined and "no license.

The actual source of the image is wikimedia.
The associated metadata page is:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Amphiuma_means.jpg

In this case, since it is public domain, it is not a copyright violation. I am not sure whether only US government images are shown, but it would be easily possible if images are drawn from wikimedia commons, to always show the associated metadata page, the association between file name and page is regular.

Thanks Gregor, we have realized image licensing and metadata is indeed crucial for the wikipedia content. The new dwc archive builder for wikipedia that I have written extracts now this information by scraping the image wiki commons page which is working in 99% of the cases very well so far.

Im closing this issue here as we have an older duplciate: http://dev.gbif.org/issues/browse/PF-35
