Description: The amount of config for the portal is daunting, so efforts to simplify are worthwhile.  Currently we have:

http://cache.gbif.org/occurrence-ws
http://cache.gbif.org/occurrence-ws/search

It appears on first inspection that the search could be inferred from the standard one.  We don't anticipate the need to have these on separate machines, so reducing config here might be worth considering.

Suggest whoever pick this up talk with Fede and Markus first to see if this is sensible.  Might warrant a post scrum chat quickly just in case someone knows why they are separated.]]>
