Summary: Decide what "errors" mean wrt zookeeper counts - should all exceptions really be runtime?
Description: Right now all hbase and parsing errors are thrown as runtime exceptions. Are they really so bad that we can't recover? Or should they be catchable up to the top level where logs/counts can be updated and then rethrown as runtime?
