Description: This project needs to listen to messages and download DwC-A files for datasets as well as single EML files. DwC-A files should be saved in a well-known location be extracted and if possible/necessary pre-sorted. The project should then send another message announcing this new DwC-A file.
It should update the registry and write a tag with the last downloaded date.
The messages need to be defined as well.]]>

Markus has added a DwC-A downloader service to the crawler project in http://code.google.com/p/gbif-crawler/source/detail?r=145
Markus is now in the process of writing the crawl server that listens to zookeeper and then sends messages to the downloader.
Cip is working to prepare the server where we can deploy and test this first implementation.
