Summary: The search results do not show relevant past events
Description: If I perform a search with the string "GB20", I don't get access to the event "GB20 Nodes training course: building stronger GBIF Nodes" located at http://www.gbif.org/page/434 which has the search string as part of its name.

"It's not a bug, it's a feature" [~thirsch@gbif.org] specifically asked that articles of type events which are older than current date (... ok, give or take given the indexing delay) should be EXCLUDED from indexing.

... [~thirsch@gbif.org], can you please clarify?

Comment: I would advocate for them to appear. Having an archive of searchable (not browsable) past events is essential for me.

Comment: My concern was that since search results under the current system are not sorted by date, a large volume of past events could obscure useful results from more recent items. So long as there can be some logical sorting of results, I agree it will be good to include past events. Let's discuss before making any further change - so keep this issue open for now.

Comment: We did not, but @cip please follow Alberto's recommendation and include past events in indexing for search.
