Comment: This paper is already in Mendeley tagged with datapaper - so the issue is for Burke who is investigating why this page is not showing the up to date list from the Mendeley API.

Comment: Just have checked the result from Mendeley API… the number of Data Paper is unfortunately still the same. Should we put a note on the website explaining this depends on Mendeley API and we are investigating the issue?

Comment: No! I would prefer to manually list the data papers on the relevant page for now since it is a small number and this is entirely in our control. I will ask Sampreethi to work on this today.

Comment: I just find that the data paper is not exposed with Mendeley UUID, which in my previous communication with Mendeley was understood as 'deleted' or 'yet indexed' citations. I can still bring it back to the list but without Mendeley UUID, but it won't be possible to have journal names. Should I proceed? That'll at least save some work from Sampreethi.

Comment: Putting data papers without journal titles is not an acceptable solution, so I suggest that for the time being we continue with the manual inputting option until we can resolve the UUID issue with Mendeley. I have requested Cip to summarise the technical request we need to put to Mendeley so we can use this in a high-level approach from GBIF. Please also include in this the other critical points we should make regarding the API that are currently holding up implementation of the full functionality we want for the portal.

This issue can be closed, since it was meant to address adding a single new data paper to right portal page.

If more work is needed to address the Mendeley UUID/Journal name problem, please open a new issue. Thanks
