Description: When using the "Explore occurrences function, the result page would look a lot cooler with a map of the occurrences returned by the filtered search.

Comment: For this, we would need to consider the best technology for plotting the map.  We can't precompute the maps, so this would require SOLR to provide the content to render.  Most likely we can only do this for results when they are below a certain threshold in size - using partial results (e.g. the first 10k) of a large result set would lead the user to interpret the map incorrectly - e.g. it could give the wrong impression of the geographic range of the results.  I would suggest that it would need to show all distinct points in the resultset, or not show at all, to avoid misleading the user.
