Description: The home page and at the top of every other page there is a search form that is supposed to search across all data types incl datasets, species and occurrences.
We need to implement that in the portal, probably presenting 3 separate search results on 1 page. Facets could be removed and only be shown on the single search page that this results page would lead too]]>

This is currently unimplemented.

Furthermore, there is no full text search implemented for occurrence search. See http://dev.gbif.org/wiki/display/POR/Webservice+API#WebserviceAPI-OccurrenceServices:SearchService

[~mdoering@gbif.org][~trobertson@gbif.org]: is this something we still want to implement for the first release of the portal? Otherwise, I think we should disable it.

Comment: Definitely not for the first release, no. But it is not active right now, is it? Blocking the form so noone can even enter anything would be better - guess this is what you want to see?
