Description: I hit download, and get the file.  I refresh this page, but the count did not increment.  Why have a download counter if it is not actually counting downloads [~cvizitiu] ?  Seems to me like a gimmick that either should work properly, or perhaps rethink your design.  It does not seem like the kind of thing that should be such a high profile state as it does (it is the most prominent thing in the page).

I'd suggest removing it myself.]]>

If you look at the link, it's ims. In other words, the counts sit in IMS and are synced back every now and then. Not my design, BTW.

[~atalavan@gbif.org], what's your opinion about this matter? Should the download counts be removed?
