0 occurrences exist, but a button is available to "view occurrences".
[~mdoering] To me this seems unintuitive - what do you think? Remove it?]]>

Comment: +1 for removing it or changing the format (grey, inactive?) if no data are available

The very white box without the blue button looks pretty unsexy now, see attached screenshot.
Should we rather use a grey button without a link or shrink the box?

Maybe also consider how we should handle the related issue for hybrid checklist datasets that also contain occurrences POR-2162

Plus should we remove the box completely in case there are no species nor occurrences?
We show no box for similar non backbone taxa: http://www.gbif.org/species/111083059

Comment: I would suggest making a grey, non-clickable box so visitors know there is this download feature, but seeing the zero count, it's obviously to them why they cannot click it.

box height was reduced when the occurrences link is not shown
[~mdoering@gbif.org] please review this commit, I've applied a mixin to change the box style: https://github.com/gbif/portal-web/commit/059661f8e2b718a5fa210c6875ade43d26e0e296
