Description: - check for a drupal theme and/or module that already uses bootstrap
- evaluate feasibility of porting our look and feel to that module/theme
- this issue does not cover writing a theme from scratch in bootstrap

- note that using the less style of bootstrap allows colour variables, font sizes, etc, and might make things easier]]>

I find Bootstrap a much more improved CSS framework then those I have used before (blueprint and 960.gs). Less also eliminates chaos of CSS rules. I think we should adopt them in the Drupal side for easier development and maintenance in the future. Hands-on experience can be built along the development.

I believe we want to push this forward by implementing the new Drupal theme using Bootstrap and less CSS. This issue originally was set up to begin the investigation before subsequent activities are taken. I think at this point it's good to close this issue, should he be [~trobertson@gbif.org] or [~omeyn@gbif.org] to verify and close it?

Comment: As agreed by [~trobertson@gbif.org], [~cvizitiu@gbif.org] and me, the investigation phase is concluded and we are pushing this toward production.
