Description: Dag Endresen (Node Manager Norway) suggests a future improvement to the analytics work could be:
"It could be useful to see a similar visualisation calculated for the thematic set such as eg. the Crop Wild Relatives (CWR), on farm landraces and genetic resources (PGRFA) in general. Crop Wild Relative status for occurrence records could eg. be calculated from a species checklist. Individual datasets would mostly contain a mixture of CWRs and non-CWRs. On farm and PGRFA resources would be categorised by management status in addition to the species name and flagging the appropriate datasets might be required - unless a preferred solution where dwc:basisOfRecord would be complemented by a record Type classification for PGRFAs… and the visualisation could be calculated for Occurrence records of such PGRFA types."

We don't index the Germplasm extensions, but we have committed to adding the germplasm extension(s) to our enumeration this summer, so they get into the verbatim view of a record once the dataset is reindexed.

The Crop Wild Relative status can be entered in the GermplasmAccession extension's biologicalStatus field, see: http://rs.gbif.org/extension/germplasm/GermplasmAccession.xml

I'm a bit confused when Dag says "Crop Wild Relative status for occurrence records could eg. be calculated from a species checklist." It makes me think the above GermplasmAccession extension should be limited to Taxon core only. [~mdoering@gbif.org] we have taken the assumption the GermplasmAccession will be used with the Occurrence core, by promising to add them to the verbatim view of an occurrence record. Are you aware if this extension will apply to both Taxon and Occurrence core?

No, the accession extension clearly is an occurrence extension only (needs the appropriate keyowrd btw!).
Im not clear what Dag exactly means, but I think he means a simple checklist of all names considered to be crop wild relatives. Then we can filter occurrences by those species that appear on that list. We need sth similar for invasive species and other thematic studies when you want to filter/group species not by their classification but some other theme.
