Issue 16516

Update footer link to Annual Report

16516
Reporter: kylecopas
Assignee: bko
Type: Improvement
Summary: Update footer link to Annual Report
Description: TH pointed out that there's a link to the Annual Report in the global footer (or footers, I believe). I don't think I can update it, so could you see that the link to <http://www.gbif.org/resources/2262> is changed to the one for the 2013 report, <http://www.gbif.org/resources/9221>?

You actually can. The footer links menu should be accessible by editors so they can change them anytime. But I've just done that for you.

http://drupaledit.gbif.org/admin/structure/menu/manage/footer-links

The only thing about updating menu is that I need to know the change so I can update the code, so the menu structure is recreated consistently with new releases.

Thanks. When you say 'update the code', are you referring to the Tomcat files, too?

Because the old link is still here, for instance:

Thanks for reopening this issue. And thanks [~trobertson@gbif.org] for fixing that on Java side. Yes indeed the code from the Java side needs to be updated.

For Drupal because we aim to have the system automatic deployable in the future, so while changing the menu link on the live system is a CMS feature, we'd like to capture the change afterwards so the menu link doesn't get overridden.
