http://staging.gbif.org:8080/portal-web-dynamic/species/105340718/vernaculars
A search for "Abies alba" returns this correct record:
Abies alba Mill. species
according to The Catalogue of Life
пихта белая (pikhta belaya) - 欧洲冷杉 (ou zhou leng shan) - Abete bianco - Abete bianco - Edelgran - European silver fir - European silver fir - European silver fir - Gewone zilverspar - Közönséges jegenyefenyo - Silver fir - Silver fir - Silvergran - Weisstanne - Weisstanne - Weisstanne - abeto - abeto branco - jedla - jedla biela - jedle belokorá - jodla pospolita - obicna jela - pinabete - sapin pectiné - sapin pectiné
A search for "Weisstanne" does not return any matches though.
There a 2 reasons:
1) this is because we limit the search to the nub by default. If there is no result should we automatically expand to all checklists?
A search across all checklists returns the correct CoL record!
2) There should be hits for nub in this case! The name usage from CoL has a nubKey, so all its vernacular names should also be indexed as being part of the nub usage for Abies alba. This seems to be broken
