Description: This is a theoretical issue for now, but we might have hit it without noticing yet.

In case of checklist archives that contain occurrence extension records the occurrence indexing is separate from the checklist indexing and only recognizes the flat, denormalized taxonomic classificaiton. In case the core taxa are organized by parentNameUsage, parentNameUsageID or acceptedNameUsageID the occurrence processing will miss the information and wont match the records to the nub in case the scientificName alone cannot be matched (not found or is a homonym).

A solution would be to first index the checklist core, then rewrite the archive with a flat classification for occurrence indexing. Ideally we could even include already the matched backbone taxon if we had one in CLB (we only do rather strict straight matches in CLB and do not match to higher taxa!)]]>
