Description: The synonym of a species is extremely important as it primarily defines the circumscription of an accepted taxon. We use it in occurrence searches, metrics and maps.

Currently we only show up to 5 synonyms on a species page and link to another specific page if more exist: http://www.gbif.org/species/2973063

As we will never see hundreds of synonyms we should rather show them all on the main page, potentially in a dedicated box.
It would also be great to show occurrence counts for each name with a link to the respective occurrence search]]>
