The issue is that this one is one of the artifacts that have configuration in the binary we create (the war file).
Currently I believe we build this each time from source for each environment. Given we aim to replace it with a few months with something else, we could agree this is fine (it just needs documented) or we could explore things like getting the configuration out of the war, or we could explore making it a jar with embedded Jetty etc. I believe [~fmendez@gbif.org] explored making it a jetty jar artifact in the past and ran into nuisance.
It was along those lines that I thought it worthy of some discussion
