Issue 14035
Add a flag to datasets "is being deleted" only up while a deletion is underway
14035
Reporter: omeyn
Type: Improvement
Summary: Add a flag to datasets "is being deleted" only up while a deletion is underway
Description: This could then be read by the crawler and would prevent a dataset currently being deleted from simultaneously being crawled (which would lead to chaotic data). The flag would be raised when the "Delete dataset" button is pressed and lowered again by an as-yet-unbuilt process that "knows" when a deletion has completed.

Comment: What about when a dataset gets deleted, while its currently being crawled?

Comment: Delete while being crawled is less critical - we can always issue a delete command for that dataset again later. Might be nice to have a similar flag for that, but maybe not worth the clutter. The primary problem this issue is trying to solve though is avoiding minting new ids for freshly deleted records.
