Description: Hitting the same issue: accessing http://api.gbif.org/node/8df8d012-8e64-4c8a-886e-521a3bdfa623 takes longtime and at the end it says service unavailable. But at the same time this call: http://api.gbif.org/node/country does work.

Comment: IMS JDBC connection was down and brought everything to a halt.  Back now
