Description: The portal needs to show some dataset statistics, for example the number of records of a dataset.
We need to modify the Dataset class to keep those stats and also find a persistence home for those values. Registry tags in a special gbif namespace would be an option.

Consider also how to best deal with duplication with the Checklist class being a "subclass" of Dataset which contains a lot of these statistics already.
Maybe Dataset doesn't need to hold these stats and we just need another OccurrenceDataset class? Then Dataset.type is not needed anymore and Checklist should probably really inherit from Dataset. All open...]]>
